Group Sessions

Group Sessions led by Family Health Team members teach patients and their families how to promote good health, prevent disease, and manage chronic illnesses.

Registration is required for all sessions. Register on-line or talk to your physician or any team member.

This grocery store tour will help you: Learn about what to look for on nutrition labels and how to read ingredient lists, learn about how much sugar, fibre, sodium you need in a day, learn about healthy and unhealthy fats, and learn to make healthy choices when grocery shopping. Group is held at Zehrs Laurentian.

Rise Up
The group is appropriate for those who would benefit from learning practical skills for coping with their depression including reactivation, changing depressive thinking and problem solving techniques. Group will be over four Thursdays, March 1, 8, 22, and 29.

Craving Change
Three part series to help you improve your relationship with food. Thursdays, March 8, 15 22, and 29. Craving change will help you: understand why it is so hard to change your eating habits; identify your own personal problematic eating triggers; and maintain your healthier eating habits. Participants MUST attend all three classes.
