Unacceptable Patient Behaviour Statement

Our staff come to work to care for others, not to be victims of violence, threatening behaviour, physical, verbal racial abuse or discrimination.

The New Vision Family Health Team considers the use of inappropriate words, actions or inactions as unacceptable behavior.

Inappropriate Actions:

  • Violence (exercise or attempt of physical force)
  • Throwing or damaging property or breaking things

Inappropriate Words (in-person, by phone or any other means of communication):

  • Abusive language
  • Disrespectful, demeaning or abusive language/comments
  • Remarks, jokes or innuendos that demean, ridicule or offend
  • Discriminatory remarks
  • Threats or threatening behaviour
  • Bullying
  • Intimidation

New Vison Family Health Team is committed to providing a safe, secure and respectful environment for all staff.

Anyone attending our clinic who abuse the physicians, staff or the patients, be it verbally, physically or in a threatening manner, will risk removal from the Family Health Team. Police will be called if staff feel unsafe.
