May is Hypertension Awareness Month

Hypertension is a condition where blood pressure (BP) is consistently higher than normal. It can affect anyone and is more common as we age. Uncontrolled high blood pressure increases your risk of a heart attack, stroke, and other organ damage (such as kidneys and eyes). Routine blood pressure checks can help with early detection of high blood pressure and reduce your risk of complications.

At New Vision, our Hypertension team has continued to serve patients throughout the pandemic. The goal of the Hypertension management program is to assist patients by providing education, self-management strategies, and medication recommendations to help improve blood pressure control.

May Measurement Month Contest:

New Vision patients are invited to submit their home blood pressure readings for a chance to win an Atoma Premium Advanced Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor. The BP monitor was generously donated by Greenbrook Pharmacy.

Participation is easy! Simply print and complete this BP tracking sheet and submit your reading(s) during the month of May either in-person or upload securely via our website by clicking here. Your name will be added to a draw and you will be contacted if your name is chosen.
