The Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) does not cover appointments with your doctor if your health card is invalid or expired. There may be a $40.00 fee for patients who present to their doctor appointment with an invalid/expired health card.
Did you know? People aged 16-70 no longer receive reminders before their health card expires unless they choose to opt-into auto-reminders. Always check your health card and renew it up to 90 days before expiry.
