*NEW* - Tick Reporting Update (updated May 16, 2023):
The Region of Waterloo is no longer accepting ticks for submission as the National Microbiology Lab is no longer testing blacklegged ticks for Lyme bacteria. If you find a tick attached to a family member or yourself, visit the eTick website (www.etick.ca) to identify the tick. If through this site the tick is identified as blacklegged or you cannot determine the type of tick, please contact our office, especially if you are feeling unwell. Symptoms usually appear from 3 days to up to a month after being bitten by an infectious tick, such as a circular “bulls eye” rash, headache, fever, chills, muscle/joint pain, swollen lymph nodes and/or fatigue.
COVID-19 Boosters (updated April 17, 2023):
Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health is recommending a Spring COVID-19 booster dose for the following groups if it has been at least 6 months since your last dose/confirmed COVID-19 infection:
Children aged 5 years and older who have not yet received a booster dose since September 1, 2022 should receive one if it has been at least 6 months since their last dose/confirmed COVID-19 infection.

Grade 7 to 12 Vaccines (updated May 17, 2023):
Grade 7 to 12 students who are not up to date on routine vaccines
Walk-ins are welcome on Wednesday, May 17th and Wednesday, May 24th from 12:40 p.m. -7 p.m. at 30 Christopher Drive in Cambridge.
For the above dates, no appointment is required for Grade 7 to 12 students who are not up to date on their routine vaccines.
For a full list of vaccines available, visit regionofwaterloo.ca/immunizations-and-vaccines.
The Region of Waterloo is offering catch-up immunization clinics for students in grade 7-12. Public health will be visiting secondary schools in the region to offer publicly funded Meningococcal (Men-ACYW-135), Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) and COVID-19 vaccines. If your child is in primary school (grade 7-8) and requires these vaccines they will need to attend a public health clinic.
Please note: Hep B and HPV will not be offered at school catch-up clinics. Due to Hepatitis B vaccine shortage, our clinic will not be able to offer publicly funded Hepatitis B vaccine at this time and unfortunately, we do not have an anticipated availability date.
If you would like Hep B and/or HPV in addition to the above vaccines or you have a child in primary school who needs updated vaccines, you can book an appointment at one of the public health clinics by CLICKING HERE.
Health Cards are Important:
The Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) does not cover appointments with your doctor if your health card is invalid or expired. If you have recently updated your health card, please let us know by completing this form.
As of January 1st, 2023 we will be initiating a $40.00 fee for patients who present to their doctor appointment with an invalid/expired health card. If you currently have an expired health card, please ensure you renew it. CLICK HERE for information on how to renew your health card.
Masking Policy Update:
We have eased our mandatory masking policy. Mandatory masking for team members will continue during direct patient care (ie. in exam rooms).
Patients who have upper respiratory infections or symptoms (e.g., cough, fever, congestion, runny nose and/or sore throat) MUST continue to wear a mask while in the clinic.
